Below is a list of common problems
and errors with the CIN program. If you encounter an error that is not
listed here, or have additional questions, please contact
us.
Waiting
for file (resident/staff)
Caused by a file lock remaining in place. Go to Clients, Sorter, and clear
locked files.
Non
Network Version - Please Wait
Caused by illegal exit from the program. Wait 90 seconds. The program
should clear to allow re-entry.
Error
203
Caused by a mixture of different versions of the software. On networked
machines make sure ALL workstations are upgraded at the same time.
Smiley
faces appearing on Printouts
Caused by selecting the wrong printer type. Exit the programme, Remove
power from printer. Return to CIN ensuring the correct printer is selected.
No
Configuration files - Use setup I
Usually caused by network connection being lost. Re-establish network
connection and restart CIN.
Error
76
Caused by poor or missing network connection. Re-establish network connection
and restart CIN.
Error
24, 27
Caused by printer problems. Check out of paper, connection lost, switched
off or timed out.
Shut down computer, remove power from printer and wait a few moments.
Restart the computer and printer.
"Details
not found" on Installation
Ensure your postcode is entered in the correct format of AAN NAA with
a space between each set of digits.
Tax
Credits not credited this pay period
Usually caused by incorrect of either pay period, or paid up to date in
option "S". Correct pay period dates, Paid upto date option
"S" should be the last day of the previous pay period.
Backup/Restore
fails
Ensure Zip files are seen as files and NOT folders.
